Teaser Tuesday June 26

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along!

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teaser Tuesday is from: Kiss the Dead by Laurell K. Hamilton

"They needed someone to hold their leashes, because you give most people this kind of power and you find out that they aren't nice people at all; they'd been nice because they were weak. It takes a truly good person to gain power, strength and mystical abilities and not misuse them."

When a fifteen-year-old girl is abducted by vampires, it’s up to U.S. Marshal Anita Blake to find her. And when she does, she’s faced with something she’s never seen before: a terrifyingly ordinary group of people—kids, grandparents, soccer moms—all recently turned and willing to die to avoid serving a master. And where there’s one martyr, there will be more…

But even vampires have monsters that they’re afraid of. And Anita is one of them…

  2. Thanks for stopping by, I don' do Vampire books, I'm just too scared, but this does sound like a good series. I'm looking it up. Thanks. HappyTuesday, I hopped over to your other blog and saw your girlie graduation. Congratulations. I know 8 speakers seems like a lot, but someday you'll be glad that you had the whole thing to sit through. I don't know if I'll ever get to my eldest son's college grad, he's just so relaxed about finishing... so I'm glad I made a special effort for the highschool one.

    1. It was long but it was nice. My son's was actually longer because his class was enormous. - These vamp books vary some are creepy all are sexy some maybe too much, but they are all interesting in different ways. Thanks for stopping by!

  16. Just finished this a week ago...I enjoyed more than I have several of the most recent books in the series. It got back to some of the things I liked about the series in the first place, and seemed to move the series and characters forward, instead of stagnating.
