Review:

The final installment of the Tough Justice series.  The ending was a bit predictable but it was still acceptable. I don't know if this team plan on writing any more about this character but I felt that there were some things left very open ended.

Lara's mother was murdered her father was looked at for the crime but never convicted the case went cold.  While cleaning her dads house out she finds a gun in a trunk of her mothers but puts it back and we never hear about it again.  Could it have been the murder weapon? I was also a little disappointed with how they left the relationship with Lara and her partner Nick. And why didn't Nick ever reveal to Lara that he had lost a child?

Other than these little things that continue to nag at me I thought overall the series was very good. The story moved well, there were just enough twists and turns to keep me interested and on my toes and the romance was a welcome distraction from the drama but didn't overwhelm the story.

  1. Looks like this series is quite interesting to read. Have to find the first book to begin reading it.
