Via chapters such as "Your Brain Is Your Bitch", "Fear Is for Suckers", and "My Subconscious Made Me Do It", Sincero takes you on a wild joy ride to your own transformation, helping you create the money, relationships, career, and general all-around awesomeness you so desire. And should you be one of those people who dreads getting busted with a self-help book in your hands, fear not.

Sincero, a former skeptic herself, delivers the goods minus the New Age cheese, giving even the snarkiest of poo-pooers exactly what they need to get out of their ruts and start kicking some ass. By the end of You Are a Badass, you will understand why you are how you are, how to love what you can't change, how to change what you don't love, and how to start living the kind of life you used to be jealous of.

Review:

There are tons of self help books out there but this one is definitely one of the easier one's to understand. If you are new to the self help world this will give you a great foundation.  If you have read tons of self help books over the years this one is like a refresher course that just reinforces so many of the concepts in other books but told in a way that might make more sense.  I know it did for me.  I "know" most of the stuff that Sincero was talking about but practicing was escaping me.  She gave some good tips, tricks and ways to get unstuck.  Her different perspective on these concepts such as the universe is full of infinite possibilities and all you have to do is put it out there and believe it and it will happen, and why this may not be working for you,(stupid unconscious mind games) and how to break out of that negative thinking trap (meditation and love yourself) really helped me to put a different spin on things I thought I was already doing.

Its amazing how many times we put ourselves down or think oh I can't do that until....or I'm too old or too young etc...watch yourself for one day and see how many times we deny if someone tells us we look pretty or fit, or did an awesome job, or when we do something and it goes wrong and we call ourselves dumb, or whatever, we are putting those concepts out into the universe, no wonder we aren't achieving all we could! Change your thinking, change your life. Sounds simple enough! But breaking years of bad habits takes a bit of time so I'm going to be gentle with myself and try to catch myself when I find myself thinking in negative ways. Eventually it will become a habit.

I recommend this book for everyone.  We can all learn something from loving ourselves, believing in our greatness and not letting anything stand in our way of what we want to achieve.
