Lee wants desperately to understand why Adam betrayed the Bureau. He is still angry and disappointed, but the memory will not leave him alone. The Bullen case is the perfect cover to get back in his ex-lover's life, and he is determined to find out the truth.

Against the backdrop of Sanctuary and the Bullen case can they learn to understand and believe that not everything they thought was true was real?

Review:

Book 4 - The mystery and investigation is the same through all the books as everyone is trying to take down a mob family.  Each book could be a stand alone and has its own romance but for better cohesion its probably better to read the whole thing. The books are short....the audio of the first four books are only 3 -3 1/2 hours each and the kindle books seem to range around 250 pages each.

Lee and Jake have a history.  Jake is ex FBI after resigning after a scandal.  His ex lover believes that he was on the take when he was really just protecting Lee. Can the two find solid ground, work out their differences and plug the leak in the FBI that is giving the Bullens important intel?

This was probably my least favorite of the books so far. I didn't really like Lee and the chemistry between the two seemed a bit forced. It was a good book to move the plot along regarding taking down the Bullen family but it just didn't wow me like the others. The next book is on kindle so I'm anxious to see if the different format weighs differently on me.
