Synopsis

The deal was sealed the moment she stepped onto that stage. It was like seeing a ghost: sunshine-blonde hair, pale skin, azure eyes that held a thousand secrets. I didn’t know what caused her to end up on that auction block, and I didn’t care. All I knew was that I had to have her - no matter the cost. A million dollars later, she became mine. Mine to break. Mine to use. Mine to keep.

This stand-alone novel contains dark themes, including those involving sex and violence - but, as always, there’s a happily-ever-after and no cheating.

Review:

Thank you to netgalley.com and Dreamscape Media for gifting me this book in exchange for an honest review.

He thought he was seeing a ghost when the girl walked out on the stage.  It couldn't be who he thought because he had watched her die and that night played over and over in his head. He had to buy her he couldn't let anyone else have her.  Desperate to own her and break her he takes her to a safe house that belongs to his boss.  There he discovers that she has secrets and he is determined to find out what they are.

Narrators were good, I appreciate the back and forth of male and female narrators as opposed to just one or the other.  Fast paced action and some sizzling scenes.  Great for those who like alpha men who are in control.
