Synopsis
Recovering her missing memories
could be the key to solving a murder
Searching for her best friend’s remains could help forensic anthropologist Melanie Hutton regain her memories of when they were both kidnapped—unless the killer gets to Melanie first. For her safety, Melanie must rely on Detective Jason Cooper, who still blames her for his sister’s death. Can Jason set the past aside to solve the cold-case murder…and shield Melanie from the same fate?
Review:
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher through netgalley.com in exchange for an honest review.
Melanie Hutton returns to the town she grew up in as the forensic anthropologist and coroner. However, someone is not so happy she has returned and the man she has to work with is none other than the brother of her best friend who hates her. When Melanie was a child her and her best friend were abducted, she escaped and her friend has never been found. Melanie has spent her whole life determined to find out what happened to her friend but amnesia keeps many of her memories locked away.
I am not a huge religious romance reader, I am more partial to the graphic bodice rippers, however I have to say the mystery in this story really drove it forward. This is a quick easy read.
