BOOK FESTIVALS AND CONVENTIONS 2022

 It seems like its been forever since a book festival has been held in person! Many have gone virtual which to me is just not the same as being able to wander the isles of book vendors, touch and feel all the new releases, getting almost high from the smell of fresh ink on a page. 2022 will see the return of many festivals - here is a list of some anticipated festivals and conventions. 

1. Sleuthfest: July 7-10, 2022 - Held in South Florida this is an annual conference for writers and fans of mysteries, thrillers, & crime fiction. The full schedule has yet to be released but the Guest of Honor and Featured speaker is Jeffrey Deaver. For a full list of speakers click here

2, Library of Congress National Book Festival - September 3 & 4th 2022 - The Library of Congress National Book Festival is an annual literary event that brings together best-selling authors and thousands of book fans for author talks, panel discussions, book signings and other activities. It was created by Laura Bush and Librarian of Congress James H. Billington at the suggestion of Mrs. Bush, who had created the Texas Book Festival. Over its 15-year history, the National Book Festival has become one of the pre-eminent literary events in the United States.

3. Brooklyn Book Festival - September 25 - October 3, 2022 - This event is live and virtual in downtown Brooklyn, NY.  To keep up to date on speakers etc sign up for their newsletter. You can also view many of the speakers from last years even on their website here

4. The Bookmarks Festival of Books & Authors, September 22 – 25, 2022, Virtual and Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Bookmarks connects people and books through its annual festival, which has been around for over 17 years. 

5. History Book Festival - September 23, 24 &25 2022 - the 2022 History Book Festival will feature authors of newly published narrative nonfiction and historical fiction — in Lewes, DE. Keep up to date on the festival by subscribing to their newsletter
