Publisher: self published

Synopsis
All it took was one shot of whiskey to let myself burn.
Cash told me loving him wasn't a risk. He promised we would dance in the
moonlight.
He swore he was nothing
like the ones who broke my heart.
And he was right. He was so much worse.
But what do you do with an addiction
you can’t kick?
Drink in the shadows, take shots in
the dark,
and savor the buzz knowing
the next morning won’t be worth it.
Because it’s not enough.
Nothing is ever enough when the person you hate is also the one you
love.

This is the 2nd book in the Falling for Whiskey series. I couldn't
wait for this to come out after reading the first book which ended on a
bit of cliff hanger. I was devastated at the ending of the first
book not realizing it was part of a duet. I think I may have handled
it better if I had realized. Luckily I didn't have long to wait.
This book picked up right after the first one ended. Grace is
devastated by what transpired between her and Cash and luckily her good
friend helps pick her up and salvages her business. I liked the this
relationship didn't just magically come back together in a clean way,
there were issues to work out, trusts to re-establish and decisions to be
made that made it more realistic. I was a little confused by the
outcome of the volatile relationship between Cash and his father - I
understood what happened but it seemed out of left field and didn't fit.
However everything else I loved. Definitely worth the read.
There is also a good bit of set up for other companion books
featuring other characters in this world.
