Synopsis

Some people greet the day with open arms. Sheriff Sunshine Vicram would rather give it a hearty shove and get back into bed, because there’s just too much going on right now. There’s a series of women going missing, and Sunny feels powerless to stop it. There’s her persistent and awesomely-rebellious daughter Auri, who’s out to singlehandedly become Del Sol’s youngest and fiercest investigator. And then there’s drama with Levi Ravinder—the guy she’s loved and lusted after for years. The guy who might just be her one and only. The guy who comes from a family of disingenuous vipers looking to oust him—and Sunshine—for good.

Like we said, the new day can take a hike.

Review:

I received this book from the publisher through netgalley.com I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I am a huge fan of this series. This book is being billed as the end of the series but I really hope that isn't true.  I love the characters, the quirky townspeople and all the craziness that happens in this small town. The witty banter and laugh out loud moments keep this book moving at record breaking pace.

Sunshine and her daughter Auri, who is a chip off the old block are so alike it's as hilarious as it is frustrating.  They both seem to find themselves in situations that are dangerous, have whip smart minds and can solve a mystery like no one's business. Not to mention they both fell for the bad boy while in high school.  Well Auri is just falling for him while Sunshine is still pinning for the one that got away.

Sunshines parents also live in Del Sol and are part of a secret group dedicated to keeping Del Sol running. They were single handedly responsible for getting Sunshine elected Sheriff.

If you like Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series then this is right up your alley.  (Although I think these are even funnier.) I can't tell you the number of times I have laughed out loud while reading one of these books.
